June 20th – Tucson 9; Colorado Springs 6.  RHP Will Inman finally earned his second win of the year in today’s early game out in Colorado Springs.  Will pitched six-plus innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits and two walks.  No homers allowed and he struck out six!  All of his runs actually came in during the “plus” inning that Will worked and couldn’t get out of (he pitched to three in the seventh…and those three scored).  While Will kept the runs down for the Sky Sox, the T-Pad’s offense had a field day!  Kyle Blanks hit a solo homer in the third, Cedric Hunter hit a three-run dinger in the fifth, and Logan Forsythe went deep for a solo shot in the sixth!  Fact is, Logan made an immediate impact in his first game back with Tucson:  he went four for five, with two doubles, the homer, two runs scored and four RBIs.  Well, he also committed one of our two errors, but man!  What a productive day for Logan!  Welcome home!

Today’s Transaction.  The T-Pads put RHP Samuel Deduno on the 7-day DL today with a left quadriceps strain.  No word yet on whether there will be a corresponding move to backfill Samuel’s spot in the pen.

See You at the Ballpark!   The boys return home tomorrow to face the Sacramento Rivercats (Athletics Affiliate) for a four-game homestand.  Sacramento has the best record in the PCL, by far, so let’s get out there and root for our Padres to upset the apple cart!!  Fresno follows for four here before the T-Pads get another of those rare, and well-deserved, off days.  Don’t forget!!!  It’s not too early to get your tickets for the Fourth of July Star Spangled Spectacular!  The T-Pads will be playing the Reno Aces – what a match up!  Former Tucson Sidewinders team, meet new Tucson Padres team!  Check Promos here.
